Five More Sarasota CLUCK Milestones

Sarasota CLUCK just keeps on keeping on -- we have five new milestones to announce that involve our blog, Facebook, our supporters, and the support we are providing:

Early in the morning on May 16th, 2011 we logged our twenty-five thousandth pageview on our Sarasota CLUCK blog. That's more than 5,000 additional pageviews in less than a month.

We now have over 600 members on our Facebook Group: Sarasota C.L.U.C.K

We've provided advice and encouragement to chicken supporters in five Florida locales so far. They include the City of Seminole (and unincorporated Pinellas County), Manatee County, Port St, Lucie, Jacksonville, and Highlands County. That doesn't count folks that have found our online resources and uses them without emailing for additional support. Oh, and we're ramping up our campaign to allow pet hens in unincorporated Sarasota County.

And so far this year, which is less than half over, we have already posted more blog entries (63) than all of 2010.

Finally, nearly 600 people (596) have read our annotated version of the Sarasota City Ordinance pertaining to chickens. That might suggest huge numbers of people getting chickens here in the city, but only 128 of those pageviews came through the City of Sarasota's website, so we suspect large numbers of viewers are people in other communities curious to see how we do things here in Sarasota.

P.S. We've added a new feature to the blog: FOLLOW BY EMAIL. Simply type your email address in the box (below the header on the right) and you'll get the blog updates emailed directed to you!
