Volunteers are needed to help staff the small animal exhibit tent at the Sarasota County Fair (March 18-27) This will be great opportunity to spend time with both chickens and the kids whose chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs will be on exhibit.
Here are some key dates:
March 12 – setup of small animal exhibit area (volunteers needed)
March 16 – small animal check-in at fair (volunteers needed)
March 18 Fair Opens
March 20 – chicken judging (judges already recruited)
March 27- last day of Fair
In addition to being supportive, there is a possibility we could schedule walking tours of the chicken area to teach the public about the different breeds that are in the exhibit (i.e., during the evenings/days that should have high fair attendances).
